Question by BrownnSugar: How can I tell if a Rolex is aunthentic?
A friend gave me a Rolex watch as a gift. It looks real, but I am really skeptical about it because of the value of Rolex watches. How can you tell if a Rolex is real or fake?

Does you watch seem cheap or crappy? Does it chip easily or break? A real Rolex is extremely tough and the best watch in the world. The quality is easy to see.

i’ve always been told with a real rolex the second hand moves very smoothly and doesn’t “tick.” with a fake the second hand “ticks” or has that moment where it almost stops at each second.

drop it in a pint of beer. if it comes out looking good and still working its probably ok. or take it to a watch maker. they usually know
